| Event remarks | Large upright tree, trunk bare for two thirds of it height, crown roughly conicle. Mature bark covered with lenticels, grey-brown in colour, mottled with lichens. Leaves alternate, oblong, slender, margins entire, adaxial surface glossy glabrous, abaxial surface attractive golden colour. Flowers absent. Fruits held on an upright spike with an agglomeration of dehiscent follicles each containing c.1-2 seeds with a fleshy, glossy red seed coat, seed black. |
