| Event remarks | Erect ground fern with erect radial caudex. Fronds 5, 1.6m long, stipe c.70cm long, 1.5cm diameter, basal Erect ground fern with erect radial caudex. Fronds 5, 1.6m long, stipe c.70cm long, 1.5cm diameter, basal pinnae longest (c.70cm), enlarged on the basiscopic side. Lamina semigloss, mid green above, slightly lighter below. Only one plant seen. (cf. Croft No. 1590, a larger form, possibly Pleocnemia megaphyla.) Specimens field dried over a pressure lamp for c.12hrs. |
