Leaves alternate, oblong, glossy adaxial surface, leathery, coriaceous, glabrous, margins serrate. Petioles and young stems maroon-purple in colour. Flowers in terminal panicles, pure white, urceolate, occasionaly tinged pink, pedicels maroon-red. Calyx clasping corolla tube, 5-merous calyx lobes narrow triangular. Fruit a dry dehiscent spherical capsule, 5-locular, calyx persistent. |
