| Event remarks | Leaves in 3 planes. Longest leaf to 45 x 2.5 cm. Dark green above, mid green below. Leaves around the fruiting heads with a red base to 12 cm long and a green apex to 19 cm, and 6.5 cmm wide. Fruirts immature, green, on stalk to 5cm long. Fruiting heads to 14.5 x 3.5 cm. Overall fruiting stalk to 3 x 2 cm. 'Apical' growth continuing from lateral shoot. Inner bracts, fleshy, bright orange. Fruiting stalks 3-cornered with very small spines along each of the corners. Spirit material. Photographs. Note 4 heads in flowers and fruit - not 3. |
