Event remarks Climber/scrambler over low trees c. 2-3 m high (Urticaceae, Saurauria etc.); collection made from at least two plants, maybe three (intertwining considerably), both male and female flowers collected but these not mixed in the inflorescences. Leaves coriaceous and ± bullate, petioles twining, red-brown. Inflorescence bearing branches pendulous; both male and female flowers ± pendulous on downward curving pedicels. Male inflorescence axis very dark purple; petals white, tinged yellow, reflexing but not recurving as the female petals; anthers and filaments pale yellow. Female inflorescence axis pale purple to purple; pedicels tinged pale purple, pale green at the apex; petals white or tinged pale pink, recurved slightly; ovaries pale yellow-white, glossy; young fruits green, covered with silky hairs, these white at base, tinged gold toward the apex.
